CODE OF CONDUCT

Each parent and spectator will ensure that his/her conduct is that of a responsible adult
or youth who are positively encouraging all participants to the limit of his/her ability. 

To satisfactorily meet these responsibilities, each parent and spectator is expected to:

 
a.    Respect the rules of the game.
b.    Respect the game officials and refrain from questioning their decisions or from addressing them in a loud, disrespectful, or abusive manner.
c.     Cheer for their team in a positive, supportive manner.
d.     Place the emotional and physical wellbeing of the players ahead of any personal desire to win.
e.     Maintain control of his/her emotions, avoid the use of abusive language, profanity, and gestures of ill temper, and refrain always from making hostile or negative remarks about the opposing team.
f.     Respect all WJT staff.
g.    Follow all building/field rules and regulations, always respecting the property of others.
h.    Leave school grounds in a timely fashion after the conclusion of a game. 
i.     Demonstrate appropriate gestures of sportsmanship at the conclusion of a game, win or lose. Do not interact in a negative fashion with fans, players or coaches of the
opposing team or game officials.
j.     Realize, accept, and practice the principle that a team’s reputation is built not only on its playing ability, but also on the sportsmanship, courtesy, and citizenship of its fans.

 

By participating in events related to the Wellsville Junior Tigers, and the EOYFL, I understand the above Code of Conduct rules, as well as the following:


-I will adhere to WJT Zero Tolerance Policy. I will never be under the influence of or in
possession of drugs, alcohol, or weapons of any kind at practices, games, trips or other
events.


-I understand that posting negative comments, threatening WJT staff or negatively
speaking about the organization in any way on social media (Facebook, Twitter, TikTok,
Snapchat, etc.) can lead to suspension or removal of my child from the team. I will refrain
from posting negative comments about players, coaches, and/or volunteers of WJT.


-I understand that the board members of WJT can remove myself and/or my child from
games, events, practices due to violating the Code of Conduct. I also understand that
violating the Code of Conduct may results in my Child’s suspension or removal from the
team/organization.
